The Rumie Initiative
The Rumie Initiative (Rumie) is a non-profit based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The organization develops and delivers low-cost technology that enables the distribution of digital resources to communities with limited Internet access
I've joined the team of volunteers to create short learning bytes for an audience of young transitioning adults to learn about life and career skills. The bytes use short video clips and memes to resemble social media, with a goal of giving mindless wasted time scrolling on phones a larger purpose: education.
With the use of Slack and Clickup for communication and project management, we have a sprint every two weeks in which we produce a new byte with several peer reviews, editing, revising, final approval, and publishing.
